The Impact of Your Gift
When you donate to Opportunity House, your gift goes quite far. We feed, house, support, and empower hundreds of vulnerable and homeless men, women, and children every year.
In 1984, we started as a humble overnight shelter, providing refuge from exposure to the cold winter weather. Today, nearly four decades later, we operate 24/7, serving men and women and families with children. In addition to providing emergency shelter, we continously identify the challenges have evolved and incorporated new services. From a community garden to food pantry services, early childhood educaton, warehouse, and the OppShop thrift store, our footprint impacts the region, helping those who need it most. However, it does take significant financial and human resources to accomplish these goals.
