SECOND STREET LEARNING CENTER PLAN TO SUPPORT VIRTUAL LEARNING BEGINNING AUGUST 31, 2020 FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR
The Second Street Learning Center has created a preliminary school plan for virtual learning for the children enrolled in our child care center. Our child care center opened on Friday, June 5, 2020, with a plan outlined that was in alignment with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) Coronavirus guidelines. Since that time we have successfully followed this plan and now, we are making every attempt to create an environment for remote learning for the school aged children enrolled in our child care.
What FULL REMOTE LEARNING means for our Second Street Learning Center Families:
·Most Importantly – This is a team effort and it is imperative that we work together.
·All school age children will be provided with a space to work with their Reading School
District Chromebook or personal electronic device.
·The Second Street Staff will oversee the school day schedule that has been communicated by the Reading School District, striving to assist each child, to the best of our ability, with their mandatory, graded assignments that we understand will be submitted through Google Classroom.
·Should students be unable to complete their assignments while in our care they will of course need to complete those assignments at home with their families.
·Each child’s family must communicate information to the child care that is pertinent to their child’s school day.
·The child care will provide school supplies as needed, i.e. pencils, paper.
Reminders:
·These school plans are subject to change at any time based on guidelines from the Reading School District and/or Governor Wolf.
These electronics will only be used for schoolwork and must be placed in a LABELED BACKPACK OR BAG when schoolwork has been completed. We will of course do our best to oversee the care of the electronics to prevent damage.

APRENDIZAJE REMOTO COMPLETO
• Todos los niños en edad escolar recibirán un espacio para trabajar con su Chromebook o dispositivo electrónico personal del Distrito Escolar de Reading.
• El personal de Second Street supervisará el horario del día escolar que ha sido comunicado por el Distrito Escolar de Reading, esforzándose por ayudar a cada niño, lo mejor que podamos, con sus tareas obligatorias y graduadas que entendemos se enviarán a través de Google Classroom.
• Si los estudiantes no pueden completar sus tareas mientras están bajo nuestro cuidado, por supuesto, deberán completar esas tareas en casa con sus familias.
• La familia de cada niño debe comunicar información al cuidado infantil que sea pertinente para el día escolar de su hijo.
• El Centro de Aprendizaje proporcionará útiles escolares según sea necesario, es decir, lápices, papel.
Recordatorios:
• Estos planes están sujetos a cambios en cualquier momento según las pautas del Distrito Escolar de Reading y / o el Gobernador Wolf.
